  2 0 Short answer to a complicated question -- If viewing quality is your primary consideration, purchase the best plasma television your budget can afford, preferably a Panasonic which is the leader in that technology. The image quality will be much closer to a traditional CRT television, especially when watching motion-intensive content such as action/sports, or playing games. And black will actually be black, which is not the case with the other types.
