    Thanks for your response! I checked out the links. What I read there kind of confirms that she has had some kind of neuro-muscular syndrome. But her symptoms fit Myasthenia Gravis more closely than this one I think... She hasn't had any kind of prior illness, or shots. It IS the next closest description I've seen to what she has had happening though. The symptoms with her eyes and tongue were over months but the "paralysis" was really rapid - just days. Sigh. I'm thinking we will probably never know exactly what it is.

    Thanks for responding. Yah, we've considered tons of possible things it might be. It does seem neurological, but what exactly, and especially what caused it, is still not known. I posted in the hope that maybe someone else has actually had the same experience and figured out what it was. A huge long shot, I know. I just want to help my dog avoid having it happen again if I can, because it was really terrible.

    Has anyone else's dog lost the ability to blink and then walk over the period of a few weeks; then gotten better?
