  0 0 All due respect to SoundsLikePuget, but I might actually go with the opposite on the first thought about Wichita Vs New York. It's relative but also relative to the salary you Used to make. See, if you're from a big urban metropolis, you're likely used to more services and will find 65K hard to adapt to (you won't live as nicely here, depending on what you made), whereas someone from a low-cost of living place may find that 65K is quite a sorta nice 'middle class' salary even in seattle's high cost of living bracket. I'll also add as a parent in a family of many that the cost of kids stuff is much like housing here: overinflated high prices and questionable value.   How does a person go about getting their share value of a mutually owned (as recorded on the state registration) sailboat in a contentious breakup?

  1 0 You noted that they are co-owners. The Report of Sale for boats in Washington state requires all owners sign off before any sale is considered legal.  So, neither of them should be able to own it or even sell it until they can come to mutual agreement.  Of course, this doesn't stop all ignorant buyers and DOL agents from neglecting to check, but it should give her a modicum of legal traction for a lawsuit if he tries to sell it out from under her. If he wants full ownership and therefore use, he should offer to buy her half out at a fair half price. If he wants to claim full use by passive-aggressively using her as a doormat, she might not feel bad to start the process of selling it out from under him,  or she could take soundslikepuget's advice and moor it near the Canadian border to put the whole process nicely on hold.   I know a handful of process server and bounty hunter types that would take on such a gig at just the cost of expenses (train/bus ticket back home from her and a beer from me), considering her story.  Guemes Island is good: no WSF service to it.   0 0 No, the law doesn't let you build a structure to sleep in, using strollers. If looking for a adult's version of a stroller, why not use a wheelchair? If you're looking for loophole for a structure, why not just make some very large art?
