I gave Pull-A-A Part a call and they came and towed it. I was quoted $250 on the phone but when I hesitated, they upped it to $300!!! Thanks for the advice, Hardc0reflower!

Can you delete the junk cars/spam comment? I'd like to retype it without it looking like junkmail...

I have read glowing reviews of how soaking a seed in hydrogen peroxide for a while (8 - 24 hours) helped speed germination time. I'm kinda conducting a pseudo-scientific experiment to see if it's worth trying to germinate things with the help of H2O2. I also soaked a small batch of the Boswellia seeds in regular old filtered water also to see if I had any luck with that.

Not exactly what I had in mind, but the Fred Flintstone pic is FUCKING AWESOME!

Usually I prefer FIST fights, but when FISH fights occur there are yummy sashimi-based end results (assuming my opponent brings wasabi and soy sauce).

Awesome! Good to hear she loves it! Another thing I do which you might find interesting...
Every now and then I also feed my sweethearts raw chicken. I go buy a whole raw chicken and cut it up, or just a bunch of uncooked chicken legs which I then freeze. I feed them thawed chunks of the meat, which they love. It’s grisly and no I'm not a serial killer, but I’ll smash the chicken legs and they then proceed to eat the entire bone. Take note to never feed cats or dogs COOKED chicken bones, just the raw ones. I figure cats eat bones of birds and such in the wild, and the bones clean teeth, remove tartar, and give them calcium. Chicken’s also pretty cheap; you can buy one for about $4 whole at Fred Meyer or somewhere.

I’ve never fed them fish, as they never seem to like it whenever I offer them salmon or trout from the dinner table. I’ve always heard that it's not good to feed cats canned tuna, as it’s full of oil and salt which their little kidneys can’t process. Either way mine don't like fish, so I don't bother with it.

There’s a book called the New Natural Cat by Anitra Frazier that I use for some guidance. It’s rather new age and very fruity in parts, but she means well and has some good advice. Here’s the link to Amazon for it if you’re interested:

Cat grass is good for my guys, because when I don’t have it out is when they start to go after the house plants. When they have the grass out, they don’t go after my numerous house plants which I always worry about the toxicity of with them.

People sometimes freak out when I tell them I feed my cats all raw food, but when was the last time a cat in the wild built a little camp fire or used an oven to cook their meal? Please...

As for how often they eat, I feed them about twice a day, basically before I go to sleep as I don’t want them meowing and waking me up because they’re hungry. They don’t look like they’re starving to death. I do always mix water into the product just before putting it out for them to help with their kidneys and such.

As for mixing in fruits and such...I feed them carrots because I’ve tried zucchini and squash (as recommended per the Anitra Frazier book) but they don’t freeze as well as carrots. Plus I figure carrots are full of vitamin A. A big plus is that carrots are easy to grate in the blender and super cheap. My kitties aren't usually too interested in fruit that I eat. The girl loves 2 unusual things however...Goat cheese and beer! Whenever someone opens a beer around here, she'll go up and beg. I have numerous humorous pictures to prove she's a lush...

I get the 20% fat ground beef at TJ in Ballard. I’m sure I’ve seen it for the $1.99 price at the one in the U district also. You can usually get cheap ground beef at Fred Meyer too, but I prefer to get it at TJ. I like to pretend it’s more organic/earth friendly/etc.

Long long answer, but I could talk all day about my cats. I'm sure you feel the same about yours! :^D
