Should have read your question a bit better. There is probably nothing you can do about those ads. They are sent out by companies like Lacy and Par here in Seattle based on carrier routes and not mailing lists. The main problem is that they are very economical and effective for some types of businesses. If you send out 10,000 and you get a 3% call back rate that's 300 calls. If you are selling windows, etc where the average sale is around $3-5K (bit of a guess) than you can recoup the cost of the mailing in two or so sales. A postcard to 10K household would cost, I think, about $3K depending upon the size and proportion of the postcard. Probably a bit less. Where I work we use it all the time but not for sales (guv'mint stuff).

Hah! Hes, that's the one. I never read the bottle, I guess. And that ship is coming back. Really. Rye is making a long overdue comeback.

Lynn's stuff is worth a gander but iirc she's pretty vested in the old school traditional stylings you seem to not like. talented, though.

I don't know... Seems like all those places where the mullet used to run free have been over-run with goatees. Cabella's. Seahawks games. Lakewood. etc.

Thanks! Serious Pie is getting some attention! But I think it may be dangerous to bring fellow NYers to any Seattle pizza joint. I'm leaning towards Palace at the moment though while I agree Tom's stuff is consitently good I can't help but feel like I'd rather give my money to someone else...

Yes, our pizza leaves much to be desired. But even in NY folks can't agree on pizza. NYers do take it much more seriously, though. a point of pride...
