Well, according to my Mom, Snoose is "Scandahoovian" for snuf (pinching/sniffing tobacco). Back in the day when Ballard was populated with crabbers and fishermen who did not have reality TV gigs the neighborhood was a little rougher. This is back at least to the 50's when there were daily brawls at the Lock Spot (often started by my Grandfather). Snoose Junction was the name of the bluest collar area of Ballard. Mom always said that when she married my Dad she was given a can of "snoose" on a string to wear around her neck - as a passport to get in and out of Ballard. I think it predates the pizza parlor, but I love that they named it that.

Mister Fusspot you earned that thumbs down on your own, it didn't come from me.

"every time I ride public transport"

There is very little room on a bus or train to just walk away. "Just walk away" is a message akin to telling her to just suck it up, move on. These unwanted comments, according to Mixy, are coming at a near daily rate and in my opinion they amount to an assault on her. Telling her to just walk away is like saying "turn the other cheek", this does nothing but perpetuate the unwanted behavior and I don't see it as helpful.

Mixy is asking for strategies, it sounds like she wants a verbal or behavioral arsenal to draw from when her space (physical or emotional) is invaded. You can only retreat so far before you lose the war.

    It is rarely that simple.

Unless (and the poster did not say this) the spare keys were to a different vehicle and include a remote entry fob. Those can be spendy to replace, $80 for my generic Ford just for the fob.

Bummer, but I should have known better. We told the salesperson that we wanted the netbook primarily for social networking/social networking games & Netflix. I should have done more research.
