Thanks for sharing your personal experience. It's good to know to stay away from Union (how crazy!), as well as hear about another good experience with Sound Community.

Thanks, to both of you, for the input. I hadn't actually considered a regional bank so I'll have to check Sound Community and the others.

Thanks, Carlos, for the suggestions. Though, lovely work, her interest and style seems more global/cultural (judging from her portfolio); so it's unclear to me if she'd have an interest in working on boring, old infant portraits or what her abilities would be in that realm - with nothing to reference on her website.

Sorry for the delayed response - part of juggling work and an infant, I suppose! But, thank you for your suggestion. I'll certainly get in touch with him to find out more about his rates and whatnot after I have a moment to share his website with my husband.

Thanks for the suggestion. I love the pinup work, but would be interested in seeing a portfolio with infants/kids. I'll definitely keep them in mind, but it may end up being more for non-baby stuff in the future, instead.

Any recommendations for a portrait photographer who will sell you digital copies (vs. prints)?

Ah, sadly Oaxaca is closed on Sundays; I just checked.

The 86-year-old, my grandmother, is actually pretty much down for anything, environment-wise. We've taken her to the Fremont Solstice parade and even took her with us to Hooters last night for my grandfather's 87th Birthday dinner (though the stools and noise are not elderly-friendly, everyone had a good laugh). Budget-wise, we're pretty flexible, as it's a rare opportunity for us all to be together. My grandmother is super picky about food, so I just assume that she won't be satisfied ... unless we eat Japanese ... and she is sometimes okay with American and Mexican. She hates Indian and Italian ... and most everything else. I hadn't considered Oaxaca, and my out-of-town relatives like that place, so that's worth looking into if 6pm isn't too late or they take reservations. Thanks!

Where can I take my family for dinner on Halloween that is baby, elderly, and wheelchair friendly?
