Lower QA location is where I got 'em! And I love that they're open 24 hours. Should you need christmas lights at 4 am.

Fantastic info, thanks so much! I am anti-shortening when it comes to buttercream, too. UGH. I'm also not a huge fan of fondant, but I know that sometimes, if that's the particular look people are going for with the cake, it's necessary.

It's gonna be hard to pick one! There aren't any rules against having, like, five wedding cakes are there? Hmmmm...

It was about as thick as warm pudding. I actually had to add some cornstarch to it, to make get it a little firmer, because I was afraid it would ooze all over the place, but it didn't. It held up pretty well and would probably be even a little softer without the cornstarch. If you want it even softer, you could always toss in a tad bit more milk.

Awesome, thanks so much! I will definitely check these places out. And why didn't I think of YouTube for specific stuff! Duh, of course they have more than cat videos on there.

Oooh, do it! That'd be awesome. Especially if you involved strawberries or something. Maybe some kind of strawberry maple buttercream? Or even something lighter, just strawberry maple whipped cream... drooooool.

I've had French toast on my list for awhile. I can't wait to try that. I want to do a really custardy kind that my mom always makes for the holidays.

    Breakfast cupcakes are the best.

I'm so glad you agree that those scones are fantastic. They're one good reason to even bother with the crowds at the fair.
