Eh, that's Slog! If you don't BYO (I'll probably bring Rainier and nice rose, those go with everything, and it's supposed to be sunny!), I seem to recall that the bottles of wine were pretty damn cheap, and keg beer too.

The fill-this-up-in-the-bathroom thing seems especially unfortunate, but I agree with Fnarf—my expectations for a big frozen yogurt chain would be that they want my money, not to give me a glass of water.

Smith, really! "Good lately," like I said, but you're totally right—as we say over here (http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/smith/Location?oid=248677), the food does vary because of a revolving-door chef situation. But right now, it's pretty damn good! The brick chicken has been delicious, and I had a short rib and herbed gnocchi the other night that was great.

I haven't seen a lot of positive reviews—here's one I wrote (http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/at-last-actually-really-good/Content?oid=1392539) about the whole chef situation when they finally got a good one in 2009 after being open for two years. He's gone, but the crew there now is solid, seriously!

North Hill Bakery, yes! Really good cakes, biscuits, croissants... and on that note, European Vine Selections a couple doors down is a great unpretentious wine shop, with lots of good $10-and-under bottles. They do not make you feel dumb at all if you don't want to spend too much and/or need help.

Well, then, it's a little ways off on the north side of the Hill, but try the Roanoke. Call 'em up, they know what sports are, and I believe they like basketball.

I've still never been to In the Bowl, but lots of people say it's great—will have to check it out. I'm also with you on making soup... Thanks!

Ah, yes, Nettletown! Their miso soups are awesome, will have to try the others.

It's true, Reverend: I have a large head. Men's XL fits, as long as it's on the big side. PACKED W/EXTRA LADYBRAINS, I like to think.

Yes, and I love Velo, but they only have a couple types of non-aerodynamic-style helmets, and the one there that I like (Bell, I think?) apparently takes eons if they have to order the color/size you want. Which they would.

Paper size does fluctuate, but in order to remain (semi-) sane, we have set things that run every week, including the page with the horoscope, comics, and Dear Science/Control Tower, where the crossword used to be. We did pay Mr. Quigley for his crossword, and we are paying the artists who do the additional comics that are now running in its stead.
