    Thanks for getting closer to what I'm trying to fathom here. I feel like I should be connected more personally with him during sex. He IS vanilla, good vanilla, but still very vanilla. He knows I like gay porn, and he brings it up a lot in that false jokey way. I don't like that it isn't my partner specifically who brings me satisfaction, it's my imagination. Isn't that fairly common though?

    Oh, and we do see a counselor.

    Again, I wanted to hear what Dan has to say (as long as he's still answering). By "fine", remember I'm a woman. Fine to us means, "I'll tolerate it for the time being".

    Part of the problem is that we don't communicate about anything sexually. He asks once in awhile what some of my fantasies are, and I have never brought this up. To him, getting freaky is me wearing lingerie. It's more than a fantasy, in a way, as it's central to my personal sexual experience.

    Disclaimer: I'm not against pot at all. My stepfather smoked several times a day, and died of lung cancer at 57. Pot smoke is still smoke.
