  How do I fix my challah?

  0 0 Raisins and chocolate are generally only (traditionally) acceptable on Rosh HaShanna where a round challah is made for a sweet new year.   Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a DIET coke?

  0 0 I grew up (am growing up) on diet soda. It tastes wrong to not have a diet soda...also about habit.   Does anyone understand Initiative 1100?

  0 0 Yes. I have at least a decent understanding. I-1100 would get rid of liquor stores and liquor taxes. It would establish new licenses which benefit large retailers with many outlets. IIRC it also instructs the legislature to recoup the substantial taxation difference between 1100 and current levels. 1100 harms small business breweries because retailers only have a certain amount of space in their store for alcoholic beverages (or any products for that matter). The profit margin on hard liquor is higher than for small microbrews so the microbrews will probably be forced out of the market. I support privatization, but I think this is an issue with too many interest groups and conflicting interests to be solved via initiatives. danmitchel answered in News & Politics about 1 year ago Answer and comment »

  Where in Seattle can I find good rugalach??

  0 0 I had some great rugalach for my bar mitzvah...it was flown in from New York. I know Blazing Bagels makes some, and I think it's pretty decent.
