You know, I think the no-soap rule is actually a myth.

From what I've read of this guy, he's usually very diligent in his research:

"That's a myth, probably a hangover from when soaps used to contain lye and powerful detergents that would pit the metal. Modern soaps are very gentle, and designed to attack only grease, not the polymer build-up on a good cast iron pan. That said, it's best to avoid it in the early stages of building up your seasoning, but even then, if you need a little, it's not the end of the world as long as you carefully dry, heat, and re-oil your pan with each use."

The in-person questionnaire assistance centers (at libraries and such) have closed. You can try picking up a form at the post office, but it may be too late. A census taker will be by sometime next month, and I can happen to know that they will be friendly (and very grateful to visit someone who is willing to cooperate).

I don't listen to many podcasts, but You Look Nice Today and the Ricky Gervais podcast have been entertaining me lately.

Those aren't the only two choices. You can believe that upbringing or non-genetic or -congenital biological factors play at least a role.

Fine, I'll make sure not to say "Pike's Market," but you have to promise me you won't say "Daylight Savings Time".

Honestly this is kind of a strange question. As you said, many non-religious people celebrate a secular Christmas, which has little to do with religion and a lot to do with tradition. Similarly, Jews don't celebrate a secular Christmas, not because of religious reasons, but because of tradition. If your family has never celebrated Christmas (because your parents never celebrated Christmas, because their parents never celebrated Christmas), then why would you suddenly start celebrating Christmas?
